Ethermaloft® AEROGEL

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Silica Aerogel is a class of porous solid nano-material with three-dimensional structures, featuring extremely low thermal conductivity and low density. It has a pore diameter of 10-50nm, porosity of up to 99.8%, and specific surface area of up to 1000m2/g. Besides, it is green and environmentally friendly, for it does not decompose at 800℃ and no harmful gas is generated.

Ethermaloft® AEROGEL is a new generation of thermal insulation made of innovative aerogel composite fibers, in which the latest technological solutions in the industry are upgraded and integrated. The nanoscale porous three-dimensional aerogel solid is embedded into the superfine fiber. With an air content of the aerogel exceeding 95%, the hundreds of millions of nanometer-sized chambers in the fibers served as a barrier against the air convection. The heat loss related to thermal conduction, meanwhile, can be minimized to trap the human body heat due to an extremely low thermal conductivity (≤ 0.02W/(mk)) of the aerogel. In addition, the unique air permeability and waterproofing of aerogel fiber products enable a dry and crisp internal environment for the human body even in extreme cold and damp, so as to keep the chill and damp at bay and thus bring a persistent and efficient warming experience for wearers.

PRODUCT CERTIFICATION

ETHERMALOFT®AEROGEL meets the harmful substances requirements of OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100 and has been awarded the OEKO-TEX ®Certificate for Product Class 1 by Hohenstein Institutes (meets the human-ecological requirements of the standard presently established for baby articles).  Ethermaloft®AEROGEL thermal insulation conforms with GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARD 4.0 (GRS 4.0)

PROCESSING GUIDELINES

ETHERMALOFT®AEROGEL is usually in vacuum packing. Please open the bag and take the product out for at least 24 hours to restore it to its normal state before processing. As filling material, ETHERMALOFT®AEROGEL can provide good warmth retention property. It is recommended to choose appropriate fabrics and linings. If necessary, please use non-woven fabrics while quilting. When using coated fabrics or waterproof and breathable fabrics, especially those fabrics with weft counts less than 86 / inch, it is recommended to evaluate the possibility of fiber migration.

Machine wash cold (40°C), delicate cycle.

Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed

Tumble dry, low heat.

 Do not steam press. Steam only or use cool iron.

Do not bleach.

Professional dry cleaning only. Dry cleaning may reduce bulkiness.
